International Planetarium Comes to Your School

Nahtam Social Responsibility has been set up in Abu Dhabi to address the evolving social needs of UAE citizens, UAE residents and the needy communities around the world. Nahtam Social Responsibility brings out for the first time in UAE, an international planetarium
The planetarium shows a wonderful world of stars, planets, the solar system, the Galaxies and much more. Equipped with state of the art technology, the planetarium aims to educate children and adults about the wonders of the universe Nahtam’s planetarium will screen a variety of stunning astronomy related films from NASA Institute (USA) using 360 full dome, digital laser projection, with special sound effects to create a thrilling experience.

The objective of the program:
• Educating school students about Space science and Solar system and movement of the planets.
• Real sense the movement of the planets.
• Help students discover the secrets of the universe.
Program Details:
• Movie Time: 22 min for each movie
• Capacity: 20-30 children at a time
• Time: 9:00am to 2:00pm (according to the school schedule)
What we need:
• An air-conditioned room with minimum 7 meter length X minimum 7 meter width and minimum
• 4-5 meter height (it can be an indoor play area, an auditorium or a conference room).A power connection to plug-in the cable
Definition of the program:
• Children will be informed about the film before entering the Planetarium
• Children should be take off their shoes before entering the Planetarium
• Not allows foods and drinks in the Planetarium
• Each Child: 25 Dhs (Class Teacher Free)
• Per Day Minimum Charge = 4,000 Dhs (up to 160 children are included in it)

The United Arab Emirates is working on finalizing plans for its exploratory mission to the Red Planet, and the nation’s leader has revealed new details pertaining to it. Mars will soon be playing host to another machine made by Earthlings. “Hope” has been designated as the name of the unmanned probe that will be making the 37-or-so million mile trek through space. A rough launch date of 2020 has been set, which coincides with the year Dubai will host the World Expo. It’s expected that the car-sized craft will be in transit for 9 months and reach its destination in 2021, just in time for the nation’s 50th anniversary. Once it arrives it will stay in orbit and perform atmospheric studies for a period of about 3 years. It’s believed that gathering that information will be greatly beneficial in studying environmental and climate matters that are concerns on Earth.
